Make History at Abbey Road

Help us record two albums of unity between peoples and care for our shared planet

Two Albums, Twenty Years in the Making

This year, the Manhattan Camerata is producing two albums at Abbey Road and NYU Studios, with unity between peoples and care for our planet at their core.

The Duo Album
Lucía Caruso and Pedro H. da Silva, with very special guests including the legendary clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera, winner of 16 Grammys.

The Orchestral Album
A full chamber orchestra album with the acclaimed Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, recorded at Abbey Road and conducted by Mariano Chiacchiarini.

Both albums are anthologies of works Lucía and Pedro have written and performed over the last two decades. Many are connected to the earth and the environment, including “Lullaby for the Earth,” dedicated to the memory of environmentalist David Kaiser, and “Eclipse,” built on the precise frequencies of the planets and moons of our solar system.

Others travel the world with a theme of understanding between cultures. “Three Temples” travels musically from Japan to Indonesia to India, and other works draw on Flamenco, the Balkans, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, and Portugal.

Sixty Years After “Strawberry Fields Forever”

We are recording on the sixtieth anniversary of the Beatles recording “Strawberry Fields Forever” in the same room at Abbey Road. For the occasion, Pedro has made a Transclassical arrangement of the song for Portuguese guitar and orchestra.
